One day a guitar player visiting the workshop was glancing at the Stage Bass and suddenly asked me: « Could you build a guitar with the same shape? »
So you say "why not..." and the idea is running in you head... Sometimes later you get the same question form another guitarist playing so different style and another one later again... So the first idea has now to be planed as a project.
But you can't consider the easy way to take a bass body and just adding a guitar sized neck as a solution in mind; this would make no sense! What style of music will be played with it? How versatile has it to be? Keeping the main character while dressing it like a guitar seams to be a challenge...
So you decide to break everything and restart from the beginning only because a guitar stays a guitar and is has not much in common with a bass; In fact it's just another instrument!
It took me about one year to rework the Stage's shapes through a new blend even a different thought...
